I recall a workshop in which we had to choose from a list of seven characters (which had emerged from our subconscious associations with various stimuli) the one with whom we most closely identified. My choice was Gordon Wiseman. Ever since I met Gordon I have felt an affinity with him -even though our meetings have been too few. I fondly remember his psychodrama workshops in which he allowed us to experience catharsis in relation to joyful past memories as well as the painful ones. And I am greatly indebted to him for introducing me to the work of Augusto Boal. It was great seeing Gordon at Derby last year when we enthusiastically discussed plans for the 2002 Dramatherapy conference in Derry. I was also looking forward to his preliminary visits in which we anticipated social and creative diversions as well as a further meeting of minds. Gordon I hear this is going on a website for you to read. I'll never forget you and your warm embrace. Thank you for pioneering in the left direction.
